YANKOWARE PARROT FLOWER FROG

This is a beautiful and colorful parrot flower frog by Yankoware. "Made in Japan" is impressed in the bottom and an outline of the original sticker is there also (but no writing). The bird is 7" tall and the color and detail are wonderful. There are no chips, cracks or flaws. It is as cute as can be.

VERY UNUSUAL CHILD'S PLATE

THOMAS IVORY GERMANY - U.S. ZONE Child's Plate (8 1/2"). This little plate has a lot a character and I would love to know the history behind this pattern. On the rim there are paintings of a butterfly, a Robin, ladybug, bee, chick and roach. The center of the plate depicts a young boy with a walking stick holding the hand of a very large bug, possibly a locust, walking upright. There are no chips or cracks but the transferware shows some wear as would be normal with a plate from the mid-1940s.
